10m Air Pistol National Championships 2008

The results for today's 10m Indoor Air Pistol National Championships have been posted:

Tim Scannell and Joe Conroy, from Kerry and Fermoy Clubs respectively have retained their Gold and Silver medals.  John Cashman, from Fermoy, and taking part in his first competition in this event won the bronze medal.

Our James Farrell and Mark Dennehy qulaified for the final but were unable to inprove their overall rankings. 

Good event and a lot learned!

Thanks are extended to all who competed and who helped to make the event so successful.

I wish to congratulate all our medal and prize winners and wish to thank all the competitors for taking part and helping to make this such an enjoyable event. I wish to thank also all the back room team who worked so hard to make the match such a success and ensured that everything worked smoothly. I wish to thank too the UCD Club for allowing us to use their excellent range. The new computer scoring target system is a joy to work with and I had to stop myself a few times from going around looking for batches of targets to be scored!
Again I wish to thank all the shooters for taking part and I am looking forward to working with all again in the near future.

National Air Pistol Championships 2008

National Target Shooting Association of Ireland

 

 

National Air Pistol Championships 2008

 

We are delighted to announce this year’s National Air Pistol Championships, which are to be held in University College Dublin’s range on Sunday the 27th of April 2008.

 

The formats for this year’s competitions are as follows:

 

 National Air Pistol Championships.  This will be an Air Pistol 60 shot qualifying event, open to both male and female shooters, leading into a 10 shot final.  The three highest placed Irish persons, after the final, will be the Irish National Champions and Championship medals will be awarded accordingly.  Non Irish persons are invited to take part also and will be eligible to win other prizes.

 

Re-entry is not permitted.

 

The fees for this match are as follows: 

 

Adult entry = €20.00

 

Student and / or Junior entry = €15.00.

Please note that the National Championships for Air Rilfe will be held on Sunday the 20th of April in UCD and that the National Championships for Air Pistol will be held in UCD on Sunday the 27th of April.  More details will be published soon.
