I have taken of late to listening to classical music.  Today, while enjoying Mozart's 'Eine Kleine Nachmusik',  a thought occurred to me.  As I listened to this beautiful work I realised what fun there is in his music.  Mozart is playing with the music, he is playing with the melody, the harmony.  He is playing with the skill of his musicians and you can hear the joy, the laughter, the abandon and the fun he is having with his listeners through his music.   Imagine too what fun the musicians must be having playing such infectious music.  'Look at me and hear!', they say, 'Come tally but a while and share my joy!'  And tally for a while you do, and lose yourself in the rising and falling ebb and flow.  Time, just melts away, and in that endless moment of now, all is harmony, bliss.  Life is act - just do it!  A little bit of night music goes a long way.

Hello Everybody,  I am delighted to announce that I have been appointed Chairman of our club for the coming year.  I wish to thank the previous committee for their hard work and dedication to the club and sport in a difficult time.  I wish to congratulate also all our shooters who have represented our club with distinction over the past year and I encourage you all to redouble their efforts in the months to come.  The future holds a number of uncertainties and challenges for the club and its members but I am confident that our resolve is steadfast and we will, like all champions, rise above these troublesome times.  Sport is a part of life that a person can take control of.  You can decide when to do it, how to do it and at what level and intensity.  By its nature it empowers,  it can provide goals, discipline, purpose, motivation, companionship and passion!  We are a small club with a big heart, we train in a converted hayshed and our athletes have stood with the best throughout the world.   In the coming year let's get our heart beating stronger than before and let's get our shooters standing tall again!

NTSA Club Instructor Course deferred to April 5
Written by Mark Dennehy
Monday, 09 March 2009 22:29
Folks,
Matt and Geoff met tonight to go over submitted homework for the Club Instructor course. There's no problem with the quality of the work, but there is with the quantity of people. Only six people confirmed attendance, and we needed to have at least twice that for the course to actually work because of the nature of the group work planned.

Going on their call, we've deferred the course to April 5. Those who have submitted homework obviously do not need to resubmit.
Meanwhile, we're chasing after people who indicated their interest and then did nothing. I'm sorry that this has gone sideways on us again; it won't be affecting our timetables for running a squad training weekend in April (so far the most likely date for that is April 18th, but it's not nailed down and duct taped yet, but there'll be an official announcement as soon as it is).
