From time to time, WTSC runs a beginners course to introduce new members to the sport. This course is run by Geoff, our resident Coach, (and our God), with assistance from our Club Instructors. These courses run for two hours, one day a week for six weeks, and comprise one hour of instruction and one hour of range work each week. At the end of the six weeks, we have a (fairly simple) test and then we formally invite the graduates to join the club (and usually, we try to arrange things so that we have some sort of club social event around the same time to introduce them to everyone and congratulate them). We provide all the kit that the beginners need, as well as small goodybags with the little bit of personal kit they require (notebooks, earplugs, headbands, that sort of thing). Given the size of our range, we can generally only take on six people per course.

And as we can only take on six people per course, and we had requests for a course from seven people, we are going to be running two courses simultaneously over the next six weeks, one starting at 10am on Saturday and the other starting at 11am on Saturday. So there are five places available for anyone who's interested.The cost of the course (in case you were wondering), is €60, and they're starting this Saturday, June 6^th.
